Tankless Water Heaters
Modern homes feature showers with multiple body sprays and shower heads along with whirlpool tubs. A tankless water heater that has been sized properly is the best choice for a continuous supply of hot water. Large households with family members getting ready for work or school can run out of hot water in the morning if they are using a traditional hot water tank.
Tankless gas water heaters are more energy-efficient than conventional water heaters. A tankless heater is not heating up a large amount of hot water to be stored in a tank. It’s also not maintaining a large tank of hot water at a set temperature. Tankless water heaters supply hot water on demand at a pre-set temperature.
A complaint we often hear, is the long delay for hot water to arrive after turning on the tap. If your faucet is a long way from the hot water tank, all the water in that line has to flow through before hot water starts running. This problem can be solved by installing a tankless water heater closer to the room where hot water is needed. Tankless heaters are about the size of a medicine cabinet and they can be wall mounted, so they don’t take up the same amount of space as a hot water tank.
Tankless water heaters feature digital wall mounted controls. Some models even have remote control. This allows you to adjust water temperature for different jobs. Your dishwasher might run the best with a water temperature of 120°, but you may want to lower the temperature to 105° for baby’s bath.
