Battery Backup Sump Pump
Liberty’s Backup Sump Pump takes over when the power goes out. The pump runs from the power of a 12 volt deep cycle battery, when your power is out or your main pump fails. The unit is equipped with an advanced 3-stage charger.
Battery backup pumps can also fail. Some homes in Calgary have sump pumps that rarely run. It is important to occasionally check your battery backup pump. Battery backups should be discharged twice a year. A battery backup sump pump that is never used, will eventually lose it’s ability to hold a charge. To discharge your battery, simply unplug the main pump and allow your backup to run. We recommend replacing your battery once every five years. With these simple precautions, your home will be fully protected.

The SumpJet® requires an uninterrupted water source to work. If you are on a well with a pump, the unit will not operate during power outages.
